Totally worth the trip to Gold Beach. This was a great boat tour. The only available boat at the We did the 64 mile trip, other trips were closed due to late in the season and water levels. When my husband and I and his cousin where camping we did a jet ride, It was Great had lots of fun got wet but i asked for it I kept saying doit again, we all had fun doing spins getting wet having water fights with the other rafters coming up the rogue we had a late lunch early at one of the stops , I would do this again.
Well worth it. Fun, and very scenic. Saw a number of bald eagles, osprey, deer, otters. Our captain was very skilled and gave us a wonderful narrative on the way up and back. Be sure to bring a variey of clothes. Once you get up river, it can get very warm or hot, then when you come back, the last 45 min or so can be rather chilly. If you have time, do the mile trip rather than the 80 or 64 mile one. We had gone on the Jerrys Jet Boat Excursions Technology mile trip 5 years ago and enjoyed our most recent experience just as much.
John and his trusty lab sorry I forgot her name! John is very knowledgeable about the Rogue River, the history, natural wildlife - he grew up on the River and holds it true to heart. We saw a number of Bald Eagles, osprey, turtles, and other birds native to the Rogue River. Our dinner stop at Cougar Lodge Cafe was delicious!!! In preparing for your trip, dress in layers as it is often chilly when you leave Gold Beach but quickly warms up as you enter the canyon.
You can grab a windbreaker at the office to wear, remember to drop it off in the bin when you return. Very warm blankets are provided on the boats and they do come in handy. You won't be provided any towels, but who cares 'cuz you dry quickly - that's part of the fun on the trip, getting wet!

He was so right. It was so beautiful and filled with gorgeous scenery. The driver was very knowledgeable about the area and very lively and friendly. We did some exciting turns in the water and got splashed.

My family loved the trip. We did the mile. My wife wasn't sure about the long trip. She thought it was great. Potty breaks weren't a problem. Our kids are 16, 14 and 7. All had a blast.
