The boat indicates it holds lbs max, but my buddy and I have gone a little over lbs between both of us , plus the batteok, trolling motor, and fishing gear.
We like to fish for alligator gar and the boat puts up with they can give. A down side is that water tends to gather on the boat when the current may be too strong. I usually use a small bucket to take it out, not that big of a problem. I use a 30lbs trolling motor, but with all the weight a 45lbs would be better the 30lbs does okay though.

Bought this and a McClain trailer a few months ago from my local Academy and am very happy with it. Boat is very maneuverable and stable on the water and does just fine with the 40lb. Minnkota also purchased from Academy! It is pre-wired front and back for a light outboard or trolling motor and this makes these a breeze to hook up.
I have my Minnkota on the stern and a Humminbird depth finder up front and this works great. I have also added a Scotty Anchor Lock and one of their rod holders although the two built-in rod holders are functional. All in all I think this boat is a great value and for Academy's low price it is hard to beat.
