Greno, I don't know how you hunt, but typically I walk in to most of my "honey holes", that others just aren't willing to put in the leg work. When everything locks up I stay in the fields, except for a couple of spring fed creeks; however, during my scouting this year I found wider creek not big enough to big called a river but a good size that does not freeze.
I have a buddy that knows where the ducks are but said there is not way to access them because everything leading to that area "locks up. I need something light that I can put carry approximately yards to access the water.

As far as durable I just but down 3 fir rubstrips and a half oval bronze on that. I run and drag on gravel and rocks and have no issues.
I also did that on my cheap row boat less bronz and it works fine. I can't say enought about the Devlin boat. I think I am going to build another after awhile to put a go-devil or scavanger engine as well.
