This is my first boat and it is wonderful. Really love this boat, great ride and fishability. Especially with the livewell full and a full tank of gas. It has been garaged since new. The 26 prop took 11 seconds to plane, tried a 21 that took seconds to get on plane. Really love this boat. Should this motor be turning up a higher rpm? Any help would be appreciated. Will provide update next summer! Motor is 3" above the transom. The rotating assembly was lightened and balanced.
It has Bridgeport heads, Bridgeport tuned exhaust, velocity stacks and Chris Carson reeds. It also has an XR6 1. With a light load it has run 72 mph, fully loaded with 2 people and full of gas it will do 67 mph.

I've seen speeds of 67 by myself with half a tank but average tournament load is normally 64 gps. Just put on a 4 blade PowerTech and the boat lifts great.
Thank God since I could never afford it on a school bus driver salary. Finally installed GPS and am thrilled with the numbers considering I do not have a jackplate. This is also the first speedo that actually matches the gps I have seen. I think I did well. Two 8' Power Poles. Red - MN 89 Mariner 60 mph gps. Fits everything I need and want. Can't beat a Ranger.
