Despite the fact that the double berth is mostly under the cockpit, there is adequate headroom over it due to the fact that the cockpit is quite shallow.

The single fixed berth in the main cabin means that the boat will sleep only five without making up the dinette. All in all, the interior of the Hunter 34 is well thought out and livable.
