The boat is perfect for us as love to travel and it can pack away nicely. This first trip really made me want to go again, I love that it was so easy to maneuver in the water and that we could have attached a troll motor. Please tell me there is a way to get this fixed! Write your review. Cannot hold 3hp engine unless you modify it. I modified by lengthening aluminum pipes like they show on youtube and attached 3hp engine. Yesterday had my ride with friend - feels on the water very well. Too short oars, but if you use electric engine for the ride - you don't care about oars' length.
A little bit shaky bottom - youtube videos show people modify by adding plywood floor, which i'm going to do too soon. I like that it can hold up to lb - would give rides to my kids.
Would I recommend this to a friend or family member? Is this review helpful? I have taken this out several times this season. To seat 5 comfortably, it would be 2 adults and 3 kids, and that would be tight.
It does take a while to inflate. Overall, it takes minutes to completely inflate. I wish there was a super inflator that inflated the boat within minutes, I would use this boat so much more. I bought an Intex trolling motor, not for fishing, but because we are surrounded with at least 9 lakes, many of which are very large and we didn't want to have to row the boat everytime we took it out.
I bought this boat for fun outings on the lake with friends. It fits perfectly with the motor mount included with this boat. There should be a storage area for the deep cycle marine battery, as they are very heavy and it is awkward having that in the boat as it needs to be placed on the seat close to the motor to hook the cables, making it uncomfortable for the one operating the motor.
A battery storage case would make it a little more sturdy but would still be an issue having to be placed on the seat.
The construction of this boat is fantastic. It is very sturdy and of very high quality. My only wish is that the sides inflated a bit higher and there was an overthrow rope and a grab handle so that passengers could jump out and swim and get back into the boat easily.
Deflating the boat is a breeze. It takes half the time to take down than to set up. However, I've never used the bag provided for storage because it is almost impossible to fit the boat in it after the first use. Because of this, transporting is a pain as it takes up a lot of room in my Subaru Outback.
In the future, please provide a larger bag for your customer's convenience.
