Constrained by our club moorings at Mylor to a maximum draft of about 4ft 6 and a maximum length of about 30ft, we are looking to move up from our Eygthene 24, to get full headroom in the cabin and more space for storage.
We are a couple in our 60s and like to do a couple of longer cruises each year as well as long weekends etc. The boat sails extremely well, but increasingly we are looking for more comfort too. We have seen advertisements for the Verl which seems to be just about OK on length and draft and not too Verl 900 Sailing Boat 75 expensive. Am I right in thinking they were made by Verl Marine in Essex? Can anyone advise on how well the Verl sails and whether they are well made?
Are there any particular weaknesses in construction or in performance that we should be aware of? The forum's advice would be most welcome. He took us out on it a few years ago when we were thinking of buying it and it was a very good one. I don't know if he still has it for sale.
