The section of the Barron River where we operate our cruises is the deepest part in Kuranda. It is not possible to navigate further up the river due it it being too shallow. Many people love the relaxing nature of the cruise and enjoy very much learning about the flora, fauna and history of this tropical rainforest area. The boat is just over the bridge from the train station. The cruise itself is fab, Steve is really informative and points out loads of interesting things from flora and fauna to the animals and local history.

We were lucky enough to see a couple of crocodile and a couple of turtle families. Steve managed to get the boat right up to the river so we could feed the turtles bits of apple of a stick. I am very pleased that you enjoyed the cruise so much. Many months ago I emailed and asked if this was wheelchair accessible. I was told yes by the company. When we arrived in Kuranda, we were informed that the boat itself is accessible but there was no accessible path to get to the boat.

My adult son is a quadriplegic and cannot get out of his chair or walk a few steps over tracks. So we drove to this attraction for nothing.
