Having previously booked an evening dinner cruise on the Thames with City Cruises fro last evening, I telephoned yesterday with a request to be seated next to a window and away from the dance floor, I was advised that although the seating plan had already been prepared, my request would be passed on to the relevant staff.
Even before boarding, we were made welcome by the friendly and efficient staff who provided a seating ticket ready for boarding. Having been given a glass of 'fizz' on boarding, my girlfriend and I were shown to our window seat, farthest away from the entertainment and dance floor as requested.

The river cruise was warm and nice, many streets were lined with Christmas lights and trees in windows. There was a good mix of young and old on the cruise and everyone was merry but not rowdy. It is worth heading up to the top deck as early as you can stand it to get a spot at the front of the boat for the main event.
