I do wish Chaparral had fewer issues, but the truth is even Cobalt and Formula have their share of problems. Not sure what model you have but I don't see any of the issues you describe on my '07 While there are a couple spots where fit isn't perfect, I have no other complaints about the design or finish of my boat. And I've crawled into and under everything.

The wiring is well supported and organized throughout, the finish is nice, the hull is straight, etc. No corroded dash panels either.

I still love my boat and my buddy with the Regal always comments that my boat is nicer than his. And my Brother-in-Law with the Cobalt always compliments my boat as well.
