Salary empoyees and managers look down on hourly employees and openly talk in meetings about how unintelligent they are. As a former salary employee and present in these meetings I have heard it first hand. As well as some engineers who are extremly racist from first hand knowledge. They refuse to upgrade the factory to up to date standards and take advantage or push the blame on anyone but them.
The vice president of production has no idea what is going on in his own plant, only looks at daily production numbers that are pencil whipped. Lots of gossip that puts a target on your back if you dont fit in with the good ole boys.
To be honest I really have nothing great to say about this company. Production making new boats. Worst place I have ever worked. Horrible management and human resources.
Hostel work environment, long hours and weekends required, they say you have vacation time but they tell you when you can use it or you don't get paid. Yes 1 No.
As a driver for Skeeter boats you are low man out. Your well being and overall health while in the truck is no concern of theirs. You pick up your load drive for your hours available, deliver the boats hopefully on the scheduled day due to new laws and get disrespected by the dealers.
Management does not stand behind you as a driver when it comes to the dealers. Do not get me wrong not all dealers are bad. The ones that are take advantage of Skeeters mentality in management and just keep treating driver ers badly. Got sent out when I was supposed to be home. Loved the other employees and they loved me. They hold lunching for their employees and have door prizes. The have excellent benfits. Health, Vison, Dental, k, direct deposit, you get discounts on merchandise. You get 2 weeks off at Chirstmas or you can work it.
