Having Mark work 24 Tempest, hoping to gain a couple more mph. I will update when I have the chance to max it out by myself. But looking for a modern, trouble free or outboard. Propshaft is 6. I know 73 mph sounds like a lot for this boat but speedo shows 75, I was amazed at gps speed. Told by several when I bought the boat that it wouild flat out run, I doubted it but they were right. Fishes excellent, rides like a dream. Is there any truth that the was one of the fastest hulls Ranger built? This is my first boat and it is wonderful. Really love this boat, great ride and fishability. Especially with the livewell full and a full tank of gas. It has been garaged since new.
The 26 prop took 11 seconds to plane, tried a 21 that took seconds to get on plane. Really love this boat. Should this motor be turning up a higher rpm?
